I am an actor, scriptwriter and director from Helsinki, Finland. I completed my Master’s Degree in Acting at Tampere University in the spring of 2019.
I have acted in several productions, including e.g. the Finnish tv-series Bordertown, Murder in Hanko and Fast, as well as in the movies Laitapuolen hyökkääjä (2022), where I did the female lead, and Hamsterit (2023). In 2020 I worked in an American feature film production Dual as Karen Gillan’s scene partner and double and did a small role. My most recent theatre roles were in the productions Little Women (2023) by Turku City Theatre, Tara (2023) by RSV Collective and Finnish National Theatre and Die Tote Stadt (2019) by the Finnish National Opera. I have performed in Finnish, Swedish, English and Russian.
Since 2015, I have also worked as a scriptwriter for example at ITV Studios, Yellow Film and Finnish Broadcasting Company. I have written primetime comedy shows, drama and reality for tv.
In 2015, my colleague Sara-Maria Heinonen and I established our own artist collective RVS. We focus on actor’s dramaturgy, poetry and feminist practice. Our performances have reflected on themes such as identity, sexuality and gender representation with a carnivalesque touch. We have performed at different theatre festivals both in Finland and abroad. Our latest work is Tara opened at Kom Theatre in January 2020 and was on tour 2023 with Finnish National Theatre.
In 2019, I worked with performer Mikko Kauppila and light designer Julia Jäntti directing a performance called Siegfried, performed at the Helsinki City Theatre. Earlier I also produced and directed multi-artistic club acts for the Finnish National Theatre’s Lavaklubi with artist Milla Rumi and journalist Rosa Kettumäki, featured in various award-winning productions of Tampere University, and worked as a director’s assistant at Kom Theatre and Theatre Vanha Juko. I have also performed as a stand-up comedian at various events, such as the Women of the World festival and Suomi Areena.
My passions as an artist are comedy and actor’s dramaturgy.
